The accident mentioned in the report refers to a deflagration accident in Anhui Jinghua New Materials Co., Ltd., New Materials Optoelectronics Industrial Park, Dingyuan County Economic Development Zone, at around 4:52 on May 21, 2023, resulting in one death and a direct economic loss of more than 3.574 million yuan.
After investigation, it was determined that the accident was a general production safety liability accident.
After investigation, it was determined that the direct cause of the accident was: during the operation of the operator's preparation of the glue liquid, the discharge port of the pipeline for filling the ethyl acetate material was not placed at the bottom of the material barrel, and the volatilization of ethyl acetate was not discharged in time. It accumulated in the upper part of the material barrel, reaching the explosion limit, forming an explosive gas environment, and the static electricity generated when the ethyl acetate flowed at high speed exploded.
